Sofar all the threads in here have been complaints, bug fix, or feature creep.

I use the WiFi on at home rule:

Trigger: Location (home address)
Actions: WiFi on

This turns on my WiFi when at home and turns it off when I leave.

Haven't really explored the other options. For work reasons I may have an action do auto text reply to incoming phone calls when Bluetooth is enabled. I haven't needed the power savings so far with the Razr Maxx....the battery is already plenty.

I modified the built-in "Battery Extender" smart action to the following:

Triggers: Display : off , Charging:Not Charging , Motion Detector:No Movement
Actions: GPS : off , Cellular data : disable

Disabling cellular data when not actively using the phone probably doubles my battery life. The trade-off is that it takes the phone about 15-20 seconds to enable the cellular radio and connect to 4G. This mostly useful for when I'm at the office and the phone is just sitting on my desk. Sometimes I disable the smart action if I'm in a situation where I want to have immediate access to data stuff.

I use Llama for other automation stuff. I have it set to lower the ringer volume and notification volume when at work, and increase these volumes when not at work. I also have it set to connect to wifi at home (and a couple of other places where wifi is available).

Yes. I meant to say "when not actively using the phone". Thanks for pointing that out. I just edited my original post and made the correction.

Home Rule to toggle Wifi on when at home, off when I leave.

Sleep Rule turns off ringer and notification sounds at 10pm, back on at 5:30am.

Both work very well. Funny, I hadn't paid attention to the fact that Smart Actions were only on Moto devices til I was showing and explaining it to someone with a Galaxy S3 today. Oops........:p

Vehicle Mode: I am wondering if there is a way, via Smart Actions, to turn on Vehicle Mode using the double-tap feature of the Home button? I know that there is a smart action available for when the phone recognizes a blue tooth device, but I am not interested in using a blue tooth earpiece at this point. Otherwise, at this point, I am not using any smart actions.

The tutorial is in the app.. If you can think to automate a task smart actions can help to a degree.

Always leave home for work at the same time. smart actions can start nav program.. put in car mode etc etc

the lists you see above are what users are doing with them.. triggers actions are there and what they are for.

Experiment remember you can always turn off an action if you dont like the way it behaves.. modify it try again.

Cheers
