Fascinate and wifi issues

Just got a fascinate for the wife and I was trying to tether my 3G connection to it from my droid x with barnacle wifi tether but it won't pick up the wifi signal. All of my other devices do: my computer, iPod etc. Any suggestions? I did the new software update already. Thanks .
