Fact or Fiction: Droid Pro?

I am eagerly anticipating the release of this supposedly "awesome" phone (by the specs I've read on this forum). The problem is, I haven't heard for sure if this phone is really in the planning stages. There is nothing on-line to confirm the phone is going to be created. Everything so far is a rumour.
So can anyone confirm for sure that the Droid Pro is actually going to be made?

The Pro itself hasn't been confirmed, but Motorola CEO (I think) has unequivocally promised a 2 ghz phone by year end. So it's gonna be something...

Imagine overclocking a stock 2ghz phone it'd be faster then a lot of laptops out there
