Facebooks push notifications aren't working for me, so I would like to see if there are other people having the same issue and if someone has possibly found a fix for it.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app from the market but its still not working.

Can anyone help?

I've heard that the app F-Plus will take care of that. There's a free version and one for $1.99 that removes the ads and adds a widget.

I get all my notifications from Facebook without any issues. running 1.95.
This MIGHT help, shot in the dark though

remove FB account, uninstall app, go to FB and remove everything droid related from the authorized apps...
re-install, re-add the account.

I'll give that a try. Thanks guys... :D

EDIT:

Followed the above mentioned steps and still not getting push notifications. :(
I always get the email from Facebook but nothing on the app itself.

Is facebook doing push notifications now? In the app, you still have to tell it how often to pull the notifications. I'd love to see facebook work like gmail, but I don't think they do at this point.

You know, I did seem to get notifications more frequently in recent days. Why do we still have the pull frequency options if they're pushing updates?

I'm definitely not receiving push notifications. Running RubiX 1.9.5; installed over .340 SBF.

I just removed all FB data and the Facebook app from the phone then removed all permissions for android-related Facebook apps on facebook.com's privacy settings.

45 minutes later, still no push notifications. Anything I'm missing here? To be fair, I was on RubiX 1.9.0 when the new FB app was released, so I have no idea if push ever worked for me.

In terms of getting notifications, the Bloo FB app really scores in sending notifications. You can even set it for updates every 2 minutes.

Its gotta be the app itself. It could poll off the update interval settings in the app, I think its 1-2 hours by default. The only notifications I get are messages and chats (push) nothing else.
