Facebook update not pushing notifications??

I really havent found a decent thread about this.... Has anyone herd anything from facebook or figured out why some are receiving push notifications and others are not? I personally have not received any and this is the main thing i care about from facebook, the chat is just a bonus. If anyone has any insight on this please share. Thanks

i only get notified of chat messages,it doesnt play sound,only shows in top bar but it didnt work at first but i added the widget to my screens and started to work
