facebook sync problem

I have added my facebook account to my phone, and "deleted" the contacts that I don't want in my phone, but the hidden contacts keep showing up...anyone else having this problem or have a solution?? Motorola suggested I do a factory re-set, but I will lose everything from my phone right??

Contacts -> Menu -> Display Options

Select 'Only contacts with phones' and select which accounts you want to show in the contacts area.

I downloaded the real Facebook app. Couldn't stand that Blur crap.
