facebook sync issue with CM9

is anyone having this problem with CM9, not being able to sync contacts ? mine aren't appearing. I have sync setup on the phone, but in my facebook account settings (online) i don't see any 'droid' app listed under the Apps section ....

display options are set to show the facebook contacts .... not sure why they won't appear. do i need to load them up in the facebook app so that i can see them all, maybe that will trigger the sync ?

i'm assuming that facebook contact sync is broken with 4.0.4 ICS for the Droid X ... ?

Yes. You need to wait on FB to fix how they manage contacts. Google drew a line in the sand. There used to be a hack to get FB to sync contacts properly but it broke other syncs.

tested with cm9 rc on the droid X and it works. must have cwm recovery version 3 or above to do this ....
i fetched the latest cwm recovery from rom manager.
