Facebook keeps force closing

Out of no where, my moto droid was going really slow and facebook kept force closing every other time I opened it but still worked.
I factory reset it and now I can't even open facebook at all after setting it to sync with my contacts.
Please help.

Edit: I also keep getting "the application Facebook (process com.facebook.katana) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." randomly. I'm assuming it's because it keeps trying to sync.

hmm that's odd.

If I were you I'd try these steps:
1. restart phone (I'm sure you've tried this already)
2. clear the cache (which you've tried already)
3. stop any syncing to facebook, then log in and try to sync
4. uninstall and reinstall the app
5. factory reset (if you just factory reset you shouldn't have too much to lose)

Hope you'll get it working

I just did some more research, and after factory resetting for the second time, I found that this problem only occurs after installing the updates.
So I guess the only solution I have is to not install the updates?

that's odd, because my facebook app is up to date.

Whatever works I guess....
