My Facebook does not update to my Notifier when there is an update. Why is this and what should I do?

Are you using the app that came loaded stock on the phone? I noticed when I first got my d1 that the fb app wouldn't update so I redownloaded fb out of the market and now it always notifies me of an update. It is still a ****ty app but admittedly has gotten much better over several months.
