Extended Battery

has anyone used the extended battery?
gonna get in monday or tuesday.
i was able to get a day out of the stock battery with minimal use.
 
Seems like the extended battery might be thicker than the original one. I read somewhere that its about 2.5x thicker than the stock battery which requires a new deeper battery cover. I think it'll come with it.
 
That's strange. My phone's all stock. I use it pretty often and after a 12 hour shift I'm only down about 10%. I'm pretty fascinated by this phone. :P
 
Good luck on finding a battery... Verizon did something to not allow non-brand batteries to work in the fascinate. You are going to be forced to buy OEM until the suppliers can figure it out.
 
I have one installed. Really big and most peoples reaction is OH MY GOD!!!
But it lasts a long time and the design actually balances nicely in the hand. Funny thing though..... the battery has 2 sets of gold prongs on either side. Initial reaction was that they glued 2 standard batteries together and you had to flip the battery. But that does not make sense when you look at it. So I am to assume it is for the battery only charger?
 
i honestly have nothing bad to say about it. i charge it via USB when im at my computer at my convenience and havent killed the battery yet. i usually keep wifi turned on.

the battery and cover is quite a bit larger than the standard. the battery is somewhere between 2.5x to 3x width of a standard battery and after putting the case on your phone will be a tidbit over 2x as thick. personally i prefer the feel of the phone with the extended battery and case over the standard. i find it easier to hold.

i bought it on ebay new for $39 and some change. 10 barks less than from samsungs website. its not paying the rent or anything but hey, 10 bucks!
 
Everyone should get on Seidio right now and buy the 3000mAh extended battery. It is WELL worth it!!!!! TRUST ME. 24 hours + running the phone the way it was meant to be ran and I STILL have juice left. I'm talking GPS ON, screen on FULL BRIGHTNESS, WiFi ON, Push Email ON, weather alerts, etc.....

you are a brave soul! lol...post up how it works out. Personally I only trust Seidio for my extended batteries, been using theirs since my first Windows Mobile phone.

But you cant use most of the accessories like car or desk dock with an extended battery. And I heard the leather factory case.
 
Has anyone been able to find a case for the phone with the extended battery. I haven't and if I do I will post.

So how do they work? I was just on Amazon looking at these batteries prior to skimming this post. If I can get a couple days out of this phone on one charge then I may buy one.
