Previously, we reported that RadioShack would be coming out with an aggressive marketing offer for their new partnership with Verizon that would amount to $100 dollars off Android smartphones. Today, our sources within the industry have confirmed this for us, and have even provided a picture of a RadioShack document to support it. Here's what our tipster had to say,
First the $100 Dollar off any smart phone is confirmed as well as a list of eligible devices. While this forum is for Droid phones everyone probably knows someone wanting an iPhone still and they are offering $50 off of the Iphone.

Anyways the documents include devices launching on 9/15/2011 / Unactivated,New, and Upgrade Pricing... As well as some accessory deals that will be going on along with the Launch!
You can see the important details in the first two pages of the doc shown above. Page three is included below. From what we can tell, most of the best Android smartphones will be available in this offer at RadioShack. It makes sense that they are only offering a limited amount of smartphones at first to help control this amazing offer. Still, it's important to note that the list includes the Droid Bionic! You can see it on page two.

Isn't vzw still offering $100 credit for current customers w/non data plan (dumb phone) to upgrade to smartphone? if so is it on top of radioshack $100 offer?

NE2 and Loyalty Discounts apply?

I wonder if you can stack this heavy discount with your New Every Two credit (I have $50 NE2) as well as a VZW customer Loyalty credit ($50 as well). I know that in VZW stores I can stack the two together.

If so, I might be able to snag my Bionic for $99!

Nope. Those are VZW only discounts

Asked a Radio Shack employee and he knew nothing about it. Imagine that!!

Spoke with a rep today after I left work (asst mgr). He said it'll run $199 (Bionic) as stated in the thread.

No rebates.

Also he said that he wouldn't process any Verizon promotional credits.

We could make a game show out of this:
Which knows the least about their current and upcoming products???

Contestant Number 1: Verizon Wireless Corporate Store Salesmen
Contestant Number 2: Best Buy Mobility Center Salesmen
AAAnnndddd a newcomer to the game.....
Contestant Number 3: "The Shack" Salesmen

Awesome game show! I do have to give my local Best Buy guy some props. He knew rooting and also knew the names of the rumored upcoming phones. I was pretty impressed!

Clearly, Verizon is the winner or loser as the case may be. They only have to know 1 line of products. At least Best Buy and The Shack have to know about multiple carriers.

I've always bought our phones from Verizon Corporate stores. I feel as though we've received good service when ever there's been an issue. But, this deal could persuade me to stray, unless Verizon is willing to match it.

$799 full retail? OUCH!

Does anyone know where the best place to buy at retail pricing? I'm considering canceling the third line I opened for the Bionic and just paying outright for it. But not for $799. Or even $699.
