Emails 30 days old limit... Really?

I just bought my Razr Maxx coming from an HTC Touch PRO2. The first thing I noticed:

The stock e-mail apps and the popular e-mail apps don't let me sync e-mail past 30 days old. I archive e-mails that have significance and reference them when needed. Is there any way around this? I've done my search on Google and I haven't found one app that lets met sync email that is past 30 days old.

The Yahoo app lets me pull up emails from my account that are years old. Can't speak for any of the other apps, I don't use them.
