Email sync problems after Gingerbread

Hello,
I did the ota update last week and ever since, the emails no longer auto sync. This is with the default email app; i set up 2 yahoo accounts. New emails only come in if I enter the app, but not by themselves as happened with 2.2
Maybe I need to change the settings, but I think i have them right.

Also google voice doesn't get new texts unless I go into the app manually. Basically same issue as with email.


Help please, i really dont want to do a complete reset of the phone.

I set up the email via the yahoo setting so that works now.

But google voice still isnt coming in. It does work when the texts are forwarded to the devices messaging app. I want to only use GV
