Try this...select mail>menu button>more>settings>Send & Receive>Download options...scroll to the bottom and select ALL. That will keep your emails on your phone until you delete them.

Hope this helps :icon_ devil:

disappearing email on Droid Incredible after upgrade

I'm having the same issue. It started when Verizon pushed an upgrade to my Droid Incredible last Friday. When I ran the upgrade, I lost all my email from my inbox. Since then I seem to lose the emails from my inbox shortly after receiving them. Yesterday, I didn't lose them at all, but today they were wiped out. Not sure if it has anything to do with retrieving my email from the server on my home computer last night. Is Droid no longer downloading and storing emails locally? Are they always going to the server to get them? My settings are...

Receive settings:
Mail size limit = No Limit
Set download frequency = Every 10 minutes
Download options = By days: 30 days

Send settings:
Delete mail on server = Off

Having the same problem. After I recevied 2.2, only 1 days prior e-mails are there and I have the same settings as before when I retained 3 days.

Problem Solved

I believe the new version of Droid Mail wipes away emails previously stored on the Droid when it retrieves email from the server. So, only email that is stored on the server during the refresh will be saved on the Droid. When I retrieved my email using Windows Mail from my home PC, it would delete the mail from the server. So, when I tried to retrieve email on my Droid, I would lose emails that I had previously retrieved, and since nothing was on the server nothing would be retrieved.

I changed the setting on my Windows Mail client on my home PC to keep emails on the server for 60 days after retrieving them, or delete them if I empty them from my Deleted folder.

Now my Droid will retrieve all the saved emails plus new emails from the server each time it refreshes.

i'm having trouble finding this setting/option in Windows Mail (i.e., saving emails on server for 60 days) - where is it??? thanks for the help...

EDIT: Ok, i think i found it - Tools<Accounts<Properties - right?? i checked the box for keeping mail on the server; but when i refreshed the Droid, none of the emails popped up even though there are many in my inbox....??

@huskerkate Now that you changed your setting, new emails will begin to accumulate on the server and will not be deleted even if you retrieve them from Windows Mail. These new ones will be accessible from your Droid for 60 days (or whatever length of time you specified). The email you received prior to changing your setting were already deleted from the server and are not accessible to your Droid.

that's kind of what i was thinking, but wasn't sure - thanks for the info!!! :)

Thank you

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This totally solved my problem.... I tried all the other suggestions and none of them worked. My problem started after an upgrade, I wonder if that was the original problem.

Thanks again....
