Email errors since 4.1.2 update

Gmail is still functioning. All other email are not working. Sync error notifications. When I enter email account info it says "wrong password." When I try to retrieve email it says "connection error." When I try to remove account it says "error has occured." Already tried factory reset.

I gave up and downloaded K-9 Mail.

I had the exact same issue. I couldn't delete the "wrong" account and I couldn't get into it. Try entering the exact same email again, alongside the one that doesnt work. I downloaded the Hotmail app, didn't like it, selected it, and then somehow everything works great now on the stock email app.

i had the same problem.
to resolve it:

1) i ended up doing a FDR.
2) re-entered all non-gmail email accounts (yahoo, hotmail, aol, ...) using settings => add account => email => other => next
