E-mail notifications

Greetings,
I have a small issue, There are two identical e-mail notifications that cannot be removed by normal means. I have tried all conventional methods,But the two notifications remain. Any help on this? I may have to take the phone to VZ, But I thought someone may have seen this and could help!
Have no other issues, Great phone, Glad I switched from BB to Droid.

I'm not sure how it works on the Incredible but on the Droid one icon is for gmail and the other is for non gmail items. You cannot remove these icons from your phone. That is, if it works like the Droid.

I'm not sure what email client you are using and I'm not familiar with the Incredible's client, but you might want to try clearing the data/cache for the app through:

phone settings > applications > manage applications > menu > filter > all

Look for anything to do with the app and clear data and cache.
