have been using the e-mail app that comes with droid now for a little more than a week. i am a corporate user so i use EAS and i am coming from a windows based device. it seems to work ok and i dont have any major complaints but i noticed there are some things it doesnt do, so i will be looking for other apps and evaluating them.

right now the three top annoyances **for me** with the droid mail client are

1. it doesnt display .eml attachments. well if your dorky co-workers have iphones and forward you messages all day from said device then you end up with a bunch of unreadable attachments on your droid.
2. html e-mails dont display well.
3. folder sync is sporadic or not working. a refresh of the folder will download messages but it doesnt work well on its own.

i would love to hear other gripes - but keep them brief :) - and if other mail clients have issues lets hear about them!

1. Attachements never open/download. It just hangs after clicking the ok button by the attachement in exchange email.

This can be corrected by going into the Exchange Account | Incoming Settings | and un-checking the 'Accept all SSL certificates' checkbox.

Also here's a thread that made mention of a work around for your issue.

dunno if this helps...

ah thanks martin, yeah i started the other thread thats posted here just to get specific info on that issue. there was a good post about other e-mail apps that dont have this issue which i have seen already and it inspired me to post this thread.

i am curious about your issue, is it all attachments? or just specific file types?

glad you found a fix for that!
