DX wont show on RSDlite

[DX-FTW]

Ok guys tried the unofficial froyo out there for the DX and now im stuck. I have the SBF file "the_gift" and RSD lite 4.7 installed with the drivers for 32bit processors.


I can boot into the bootloader (not recovery) but the main problem is that I cant get RSD lite to see my phone

tried config>DeviceID and changing between those two but that doesnt seem to work..

i even tried on my laptop (vista 64bit) and it still wasnt showing up on device.

also, i have the error
E:can't open /cache/recovery/command at the bottom of the bootloader

I NEED MY DROID X BACK!

Try this

Boot into recovery
Wipe data
Clear cache
Then boot into bootloader
Plug into rsd and see if that helps

can only boot into bootloader. can wipe data/cache from there but ive done that multiple times.

omg im such a TARD i was in recovery the whole time and not the bootloader. i got my button pushes mixed up. fml

read this, thought "surely i won't need to do all this". Then I got dah bootloopz. thought to myself.. must check seach history!!" This is great info that most people won't think about, and some like me (arrogant pinheads) will skip lol. Thanks for the reminder.
