Even though there has been no official word from Motorola or Verizon on the specifications of the Droid X2, a lot of industry 'rumint' has indicated that the device will be coming with a dual-core processor of some kind. Sources have suggested that it will probably be the NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip. A new video, "leaks", the phone using a dual-core chip after-all. It's still not definitively shown which chip, but this is pretty interesting news regardless. Now, if Moto could only be as "open-minded" about the modder community as Sony Ericsson...

Ummm, is it just me, or did that video prove nothing in regards to that phone being a Droid X 2 ? The DX2 looks physically from all we have seen, exactly as the DX...so only the internals have changed...and nothing in that posted video indicates that the phone being shown is not a regular DX.

Oh wait, the boot logo says Dula Core and the boot animation is different..that must mean it really is a DX2 running dual core tech...

Yeah, not buying it...call me kooky but I am pretty sure I can get one of the guys here on DF to make me a boot animation and I can make my own boot logo that says my phone is QuadCore powered...doesnt make it so...:)

Yep, that boot animation came out for dl right after the Atrix was released. The phone should be out soon so we will see!

Actually when he opens up the app drawer notice how that icky motoblur says "all applications" on the top thats the new motoblur running on a DX2 bro :)

The only compelling evidence that it might be the DX2 is that I've heard the only real physical change they made was removing the physical camera button. I don't see a physical button sticking out from the side of the device in the video.

Oh...ok...you mean that less than 5 second blip at the tail end of the video...

Sorry, I want to see an actual breakdown of this device...official documentation from either Motorola or a credible vendor. Until that happens, I do believe I will just keep rocking the DX I already have tweeked out...:)

Dual core or not, its still motogarbage. I don't know what it is that they do, but every phone moto has is slow and laggy...regardless of specs.

If you look at the DX at the right angle you can't see the camera button either. I'm looking at one right now straight ahead and I can't see the camera button.
