If I originally set up my phone for one city but I acually use it more (alot more) in another city, would this effect my signal strength? Do I need to reconfigure my phone or update my settings somehow?

I'd call *228 and pick option 2 to update your roaming capability. Don't know if this actually helps, but why not? I'm pretty sure it does anyway

All you have to do is reboot when you are in the new city.
