I updated my DROID x to Gingerbread using the non rooted method and a day or so later the camera froze up and I haven't been able to use it since. Can anyone tell me how to fix my camera or how to go back to froyo.
This worked for me and I had tried a few other solutions that didn't work. First I removed all pictures and videos taken by the camera or camcorder apps (basically everything in Gallery). One person had suggested the issue might be with a picture that was in memory when the OTA install was performed. I then went into Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> All tab. I then went into Camera and clicked the Clear data button. Finally I went into Media Storage and clicked Clear data. This solved all of my problems. I tested both Camera and Camcorder and both worked great. Hope this helps.
