DroidX dim button issues

Hi folks. Just purchased a Droidx (verizon upgrade) and I have noticed that in some apps the option button text appears so dim, or so close to the button background color as to be nonexistent. Only happens on gray or white-ish button backgrounds.

I'm running Launcherpro, but I believe the problem existed before I installed it.

Can't imagine how to fix this problem.
