Droidx and wifi tether issues

I have a stock rooted droid x and trying to use the wifi tether app for root users. I have tried the one off the market and tried the pre release 11 off googles websites. I can not see the wifi nor can I cannot. The wifi is running. Any suggestions?

Are you looking for a AdHoc wireless connection? WirelessTether for Root Users creates a AdHoc WiFi connection, not a Infrastructure connection, so you have to be configured properly. If you are trying to connect a game console like PS3, Wii, Xbox360, PSP or whatever, they cannot recognize the Droid in AdHoc mode. The 3G HotSpot app can create a WiFi connection in Infrastructure mode. You might want to look into getting that service. dancedroid
