I used the DROID 3 Easy Root Script v7. I do believe I am one of the first to root 2.3.4, previous methods are confirmed to work.

So the easy script v7 helped u root the phone? Cause Pete's root kit did not work for me.

Yeah, it takes like 2 reboots and it's done.

Btw.... u having issue with the music app? For me it plays for 2 min then stops... as if it on the auto end list in task manager

You Can Only Use The Bootstrap That We Currently Have. Use This Link "System Recovery" And Click Install Recovery First Every Time Before Reboot Recovery To Be Safe That It's Still Installed.

Should I install the update then use Pete's 1 click root? And if that's all I need to do could someone post a link to Pete's 1 click? I see everyone talking about it but I can't find it.

Just search it at Google. That's how I got it. Make sure u find n use the Droid three instructions if its for d1 - d3 and x and x2
