Droid X Wifi reducing signal strength

droid x, 2.2, not rooted

i usually have good service in my house. lately i have had 0 bars. not sure when the problem began.

I kept missing calls, delayed text etc..

I happened to turn my wifi off and noticed my signal jumped 2 bars instantly..upon toggling my wifi back on, signal dropped to 0 bars..turned it on and it went back up to 3

Any idea/fix on why this is happening?

Found this irritating bug also. When I'm switch to wifi it goes from 4 final bars to 1, and status like that the whole time I'm using wifi. The second I turn off wifi it goes from 1 bar to 4. I missed a phone call earlier because of no signal. I have no idea how to fix or prevent this from occurring. Its almost enough for me to go back to froyo considering I use wifi a good amount of time. Not yip mention the battery life is slightly worse on 2.3.3
