Droid X overheating

Hey, I'm pretty new to the android community when it comes to rooting and similar things but I think I have most of it down. But I don't understand overclocking. However, I went through with it anyways... Now my battery stays usually at
around 105° to 114° F. I know that is too hot and I believe it started when I began overclocking my droid x using both dx overclocker and setcpu. On dx overclocker I'm on high voltage 1.25 and running that as the max and 1.0 as the min. I also have 3 profiles on setcpu for low battery, charging, and screen off. Could someone please instruct me on what I'm doing wrong. And if its my overclock settings could you suggest some really good settings... In beginner language please haha. Thanks very much! Oh and if it helps I'm running liberty 1.5

Run it at 1.2 max, low or ultra low voltage. Don't change the minimum from the default.

No need for set cpu. If you want profiles, droid overclock can do that too. But I would not worry about them for now. Just uninstall setcpu.

first off you dont want to set 1.5 as the minimum, or at least i wouldnt advise it. thats probably why you are overheating, you are refusing to let your phone take a break. what are your other profiles set up like. oh also you might try using medium or low voltage.

Well if I have these settings, will my X run fast with good battery life? And what should I set as the max/min

Correct. It will scale up when needed. That way when you're not using it or using low cpu-intensive tasks, it won't use more power than necessary.
