Droid X Lock screen

How is the orignal droid lock screen so much smoother than the droid x?

and is there anyway to fix it (besides getting a app)

I'm afraid this is an inherited problem with 2.2, and the only fix I'm aware of is a third party app sorry

I think the problem is that tactile feedback is used and when you swipe the lock it starts it but it is not on so there's a stutter while the feedback initiates

Yes I'm talking about the animation, it unlocks fine but just the swipe is real choppy.

That is strange ... with the exception of a couple of scrolling things like the lock, mine works great. Pretty responsive. But i could just not be noticing problems. Hey ... it plays Angry Birds so it can't be all bad <g>

My phone is very smooth, everything is quick and responsive......but the lock screen.

Sure it's small but it's something you use and see very often so you'd think it would be as smooth

Any good apps to replace it then?

I would have said "my" phone not "the" phone. This is the fastest phone I've ever used hands down.
