droid x has problems sending texts it comes up boxes or blank messages

my droid x has issues sending texts to other phone either it wont go thru to them it says its sent on my part but they dont recieve it or if they do it comes up boxes in the words making it unable to read or it just sends blank boxes please helpdancedroid
