Droid X Gmail push/pull/refresh/sync issues

If you Gmail app is not refreshing and downloading new emails without you doing it manually by pushing the Refresh button then do this....

Place the stock Power Management widget from Android on your home screen and click the sync icon (two arrows) to green/Enabled...

Problem solved your emails should refresh regularly.
