Droid X deletes contents of cd card

My friends Droid X has been deleting all her stuff on her SD card and restoring itself to factory settings. Anyone have any ideas? :O

Sounds like a defective unit. Never heard such a thing. I'd take it to a store or call customer service about getting a replacement.
