No the periods do not count as characters and yes you are correct. Place the same amount of spaces on each side of the text to center. If you have an uneven amount of spaces on each side you wont be able to notice a difference

Yea I don't like how it overwrites as I type it in. I highlight the Verizon and replace w/chkmate. But once I get to the wireless it starts overwriting the numbers and periods that were there.

So I highlight Verizon and put in chkmate, same amount of characters. But after its done writting it all I have left of the wireless is "ess." This doesn't make sense.

And I'm using Frhed Hex Editor.

Are you trying to copy and paste? I don't know if this would work. I would just type it in. It shoul turn the text you typed in red. If you are just using your name after the ... put in 4 spaces then type chkmate then four more spaces. That's a total of 16. You need to have all of the dots. I can try to make a you tube video but it may take awhile

Maybe its my editor. I might have to try the one you use. It has all the numeric codes to the left and in a column to ther right is where the letters are. Unless it turns it into a bright red or a red that is bold I wont be able to tell. Colorblind

And, no, no cut and paste. But instead of moving the letters, dots or numbers down the way as I type something in it's just overwriting.

Probably not deleting the first 54 bytes within frhed.... and reversing the bytes. Also have to make sure the file is 262080 bytes

I followed that tutorial when trying and those were the results it produced. It worked fine on other pictures but not those two.

First off,...the picture on the right with the dark background has lettering toward the bottom right edge. It may be too close to the edge or color from the picture is running toward the edge. Try editing them again and see if the top left bytes(pixels in frhed program) that you edit read 00 after deleting the first 54bytes, cause 00=black. And ff=white. If it reads either of these on top and bottom thats what you entire background will be.

I will do it for you if you can't get it but it sounds like your close. No better feeling then figuring it out

The background is fine, it is the actual logo that changes color. It is weird

Try this. And I can't get the other one to open in PS.
