Droid X Custom Boot Logo I'll create

Thanks for the logos but I'm having a problem installing any of them. I use droid x bootstrap and rom manager and neither will change the boot logo. I looked through the thread and haven't seen any "noob" instructions for install. Can you help with this part?

If you download them to the computer just move them over to the root of your SD card (not in folder). Then I just run Recovery through Bootstrap. When Clockwork opens select "install zip from Sd card" then select "choose zip form Sd card." On next page scroll down to the named file and hit camera button again to select. Then scroll all the way down to yes and select. After it unzips, hit power button to back up a page then select reboot phone now.

And if you download it from phone it will save it in your Tapatalk folder in Root Explorer or Droid Forum folder in Root Explorer. Just open one of those, long press and copy. Then back out a page and paste on the root of card, repeat process.

Hope this helps man:)
It doesn't have to be on the root of the card, it can be in a folder. I keep my boot logos in a folder titled "boot logos" same with my themes roms and everything else for my phone. I change stuff so often I have to put things in folders to know what is what.

Ahhh. I keep them on the root, at least the one's I change often. I just suggested the way I do it, seemed to help him. Guess I will be making a folder to throw it all in;)

These are freakin awesome!! I love the neon cubs one the best so far. Looks like it is actually supposed to be there. I can't wait for the skull and bones one now. Thanks for all of them Chkmate! Big thumbs up to you!

As promised. Made the background all black instead of the gray it was. Now it wont look boxed in.

Here ya go>>>

On a tutorial I saw it said the background color is the same as the edge of the logo, I haven't tested and I'm sure you have so is that incorrect or have you not tried it?

This one turned out as awesome as the rest chkmate! thanks a million for these. Now I have like 12 on my phone to choose from and change as I want! If I have more can I add those in here as well?

It picks the color of the top left pixel for the upper and lower colors. So, if you have a picture with shades of blue it will pick the top left pixel and make the whole background OUTSIDE of the 480x182 area that color. So if you have an icon surrounded by a whole bunch of colors it will only pick that color. That's why it looks the best with black or white.

Now...say you have the logo surrounded by one solid color it will make the whole surrounding area that color. Hope that makes sense, lol. It does in my head:)

Yes I've tried it accidentally when I first started making these. I had issues all over the place. I ussually only make them black or white. If you are editting in Frhed, black=00 and white=ff.
