Droid X calendar issue

It seems that every even that I add to my calendar delets itself a few seconds after I enetr it. I save everything and get the "saving event" message, it shows on the calendar for a few seconds and then...poof. Gone.

What am I doing wrong?

That sounds like a problem with the app its self. Is it up to date and can you completely restart it?
How can I tell if its up to date?
The strange thing is that the only event that did save was the one event that I saved as recurring, a birthday.

Sorry I had another calendar app. Just checked my calendar and I can't find a way or any menu that might be able to fix it. Sorry ill look in to it and if I find anything ill post it but I can't make any any promises thy I can find any thing. Sorry

No problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea what is causing this.

I even just tried Googling the problme and can't find any links reporting it.

I contacted Motorola via Live Chat and the rep suggested I pull the battery. I thought that had resolved the issue necause I typed in an event for tomorrow with a bunch of gibberish and it saved.
So I go into work and start to update my calendar again and every time I would go to a new screen, after saving the event, it would delete again. Whether I changed the month or the screen saver came on, you name it. If the screen changed it anyway the event would be erased.
The weird thing is that a birthday I saved for Sunday is still there and a ranom even I saved in September is there, along with the fake appointment I made for tomorrow.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it and I'm really getting aggravated.

Does it have anything to do with my gmail account?

My daughter's first DroidX did this exact same thing! Verizon replaced it and the new one also does it too!

This has to be more widespread but I can't seem to find out anything that will fix it. If you don't use the calendar, please try and test adding events and see if they "stick".

If you do use the calendar please share your experiences. Thanks

I just knew this would happen...

So I go into a Verizon store, mostly because I had to return some accessories I didn't want. I ask the CSR, who was really nice btw, about the calendar issue. She asks me to show her what's going on because she hadn't heard of the issue. She also said that her boyfriend has the phone and he hasn't experienced any problems. So of course I enter an event and it saves with nop problems. I even back out and pull up other apps and then go back to it and it's still there.

So weird. I have no idea what fixed it but it's working now. Maybe there was magic fairy in the air at the Verizon store? Ha!

Now, the other morning I did get a notification that an update was downloading. I pulled it up and it didn't show what it was for and I was too tired to look into it further. Maybe that was it?

It happens with my phone too. The only way for me to get the event to stick is to enter it in Google Calendar and then sync it with my calendar. Otherwise, it'll just appear for a few seconds and then disappears.

I thought it had fixed itself nut...NOPE. It's really pissing me off now.

Of course if I go back into the store it will work again and they will think I'm insane.

I had this happening too. Some reason today it was able to save an event. I think it might have something to do with syncing to google calendar. Events can be written to the phone, but the phone can't write to the calendar so it disappears.

Just a guess though.
