droid wallpaper not displaying at correct size

new droid user here. i tried to use this wallpaper

Android Wall - Droid Wallpapers, Droid Gallery

but its blowing it up when i put it as my wallpaper. like, when i select the picture, a little orange rectangle cropping tool shows up which forces me to crop the picture. however, it is the correct 960x854 resolution. i simply dragged it the image into the droids folder from my pc's desktop. does anybody know what could be causing the issue? thank you

You have to drag the arrows to make the crop box expand to take up the whole image. It's just how it does it. Don't ask me why.
