Droid Turbo XT1254 Disassembly / Tear Down Video

Ok....won't be replacing the battery on my own.

Was hoping we'd see an SD card that we could replace with a 128gig option (and I'd SOOOOOO take this back for the 32gig candy-apple red, saving money and getting a prettier phone with "allegedly" better signal pick-up).

Ya I was hoping would have some hidden sd card slot but I guess not. The red color gets better signal?

It's anecdotal obviously, but some people are claiming the nylon mesh might interfere with signal a bit. Also possibly an issue that was fixed by the update.

I would have to call placebo effect on that. IMHO, there is no way that Nylon would interfere with the signal more than metallized glass fiber.

Replacing the internal SD Card is not only extremely difficult considering it's a surface mount (tiny connections that are nearly impossible to solder by hand), but it's quite possible that the supporting hardware isn't capable of addressing more than the 32GB that it was spec'd for.

It's also possible that it's using a different formatting specific for the purpose. It would be nice but I think it's a far-fetched wish.
