Droid thinks I have a headset connected for music but I don't.

My phone keeps showing the headset icon, as though I have earphones hooked up, but I don't. The problem is that there is no way to tell the phone no headset because it is not a toggle switch which means I can't talk to anyone when they call and I can't even get my voicemails.

I would do a phone reset. If that doesn't take care of it, call tech support. But they'll just have you do a phone reset, so maybe call them first?

This happened to my Eris too.

I went to Verizon and they had a replacement phone sent my way for free.

I understand how much of a pain that headset thing is too. There's no way to turn it off and when you need to pick up a call, you can't. You can answer a call, but neither of the parties will be able to hear each other.

Hard reset doesn't work either surprisingly. It didn't for me...

Good luck.
