Droid Tethering Hotspot

Hi,

I just purchased a Droid HD Maxx from Verizon and have a shared data plan. Tethering and or hotspot is supposed to be included. Do I need a special app for that? Can you all recommend a good one, I would like wireless if possible, or bluetooth.
