I don't think that tells the whole story. It'll be $15 if you're on the $45 data plan and $30 if you're on the $30 data plan. It comes out to $60 either way so you just subtract your data plan from $60 and get the price for tethering.

maybe not because i have tethering($15.00) on my blackberry and BIS($29.00) so it comes to 44 per month.... from what i understand it will be the same...

You may want to relook at your bill. :)

Legal tethering???

So, I live on a boat at anchor, so have no hardwired access. Now am using Broadband (truly Unlimited...early account; no 5Gb limit!) for the laptop, and will pay $30 for the Data Plan, =$90/mo. When the new Tether is available from V, what will I pay? (What will it cost me to stay legal?). Any idea on when?

I'll pick up my Droid tomorrow. Can't wait, first smartphone!

Wow! Fifteen $ a month is a little high for 3G speeds, IMO. They'd get more customers with lower monthly instead of just folks that can't look for WiFi options.

actually when you tether you get pretty decent broadband speeds...

i used to tether with my blackberry curve and storm 1 and 2. i would get anywhere from 2-5 mbit down and like 512 up.

thats faster then DSL and faster then some cable internet connections.

i have a broadband card now so i dont bother.
