Droid Stuck Unmounting

I am trying to unmount my droid x's sd card, but it is stuck on unmounting. If I backtrack to settings, then go back into sd card, it shows 0.00 space and the unmount option is available, but the same thing happens again. It won't unmount the card.

Rebooted the phone and card was unmountable and formatable. Wish I didn't have to do that, though.
