droid stock media player and searching for a song

When I'm playing music and want to search for a song.

If I scroll and play it will just play that song and contue the suffle.

If I. Search for a song with the key board it will play that song and then get in to a loop with only 1 to 4 song. Some times 1 some times 3. The only fix I have found is click back to libery and select a song.

This can be a pain when. Driving.
Any ideas
