Yeah how do you turn off ambient light for display.. I unchecked automatic brightness but it still says ambient light and will adjust to surroundings. Any way to turn ambient light off so I just have the amount of brightness that I need...

Home --> Menu --> Display --> Brightness --> Ambient Light

There you will find the answers you seek. At least, when I did this the ambient light sensor wouldn't do anything other than light up the Android buttons when it got dark.

I use the stock power widget. Can switch between low (0%?) ,Med(50%?), high(100%?), and auto. Best, or at least quickest solution I have found w/o downloading an app.
