droid razr homescreen is gone after unlocking?

When I try to unlock my Droids screen it goes to an all black screen. the top bar that shows the time notifications and battery life is still visible. but all the buttons for my apps, and phone are gone? if I hold down the menu key it brings up the keyboard, I can adjust the volume but nothing else is working. I tried turning it off twice. If I hit the power/lock button and then turn it back on to the power screen it shows my background image and everything looks normal but as soon as I swipe to unlock it goes to the black screen

never mind. figured it out. I tried installing GO pro locker which caused the problem. for anybody else having this problem, power off the phone. restart and when the M logo is showing hold both volume buttons down until you feel/hear a short vibration and a long one. the phone will be in safe mode. uninstall the application and reboot
