Droid R2D2 Help please thank you so much

I just got my Droid 2 tuesday. The only thing not working are my droid smiles. When is end them in a message they don't pop up as droid robots just regular smiles. Anyone else ever experience this or know how to fix this thanks.

In a text message, that's correct. You don't have the Droid Smilies there.

yup it sends as regular smiles and doesnt show as the android bots.

the smiles dont come up when i send or recieve messages. and i am putting them in correctly.
