hi i'm new

hi i'm new to the droid phone i just got it tuesday still learning how it works and all. If anyone could help me with the recent problem i'm having that would be great. The only thing not working are my droid smiles. When is end them in a message they don't pop up as droid robots just regular smiles. Anyone else ever experience this or know how to fix this thanks.

welcome to the forum! Im not sure what u mean. in other words ur talking about instead of the usual happy face icon u get the colon with parenthesis?

My phone did that for awhile too, but I ended up downloading an alternate texting program (Go SMS).
