Droid Phone just lost a days worth of texts, most recent texts. Galaxy S2

I use Sprint, and the phone just rebooted then after rebooting lost a days worth of texts. Calendar has correct date, as well as time.
Phone is SPH D710, Droid version 4.1.2
Any idea how this could have happened, or a way to recover from Sprint? I have sms recovery, and I did a back up and it shows same stuff I can see without a backup.
