I have 2 car docks. One for use in my car and the other is mounted on my motorcycle. I use it with a helmet that has built-in bluetooth and stereo speakers and it works great.
Well I hit a horrible patch of potholes and my phone went flying off my bike.....at 65MPH in the left lane of a 3 lane interatate highway!
The X STILL WORKS! This phone is built like a brick.
The screen is perfect. Not a scratch. However the battery cover, back of the case and the top and bottom front edge bumpers are badly beat up. The back corners have chunks of case material missing.
I can't seam to locate these parts and dealing with Motorola to have it repaired at my cost (all cosmetic) has been painful.
I ordered one of the dummy X phones from ebay with the intention of swapping the case/shell parts I need. It's not here yet but I read online that all the case parts are glued together. :icon_eek:
That's going to make it very difficult to do what I need.
Would anybody have a dead X with a clean shell that they would like to sell? Any idea where I might look for one? Any other advice?
