Droid MAXX - No valid PIV block in SP for system

My boyfriend has a Droid MAXX and woke up this morning and the phone would not power on, it would only boot to the green "M" Motorola logo, and only that particular color too. I also posted about it in the thread noted below, hoping the Rescue Squad might be able to help:

Is his phone rooted? Do you care about getting the data/photos/etc back?

The phone is not rooted, we would prefer to save the data/photos if possible, but if its a choice of loosing the photos or getting the phone to operate we'll take the getting the phone working.

Try house of moto with the keep data option.
