Droid Lets Out a Diabolical Laugh and Then Freezes

This morning, when I was responding to a text, all of a sudden my Verizon Droid 2 let out a diabolical cartoon laugh, made a "boink" sound, and froze for about 30-40 seconds. It was a little disconcerting, to say the least. I swear to God I am not drunk or on drugs (or hallucinating). It actually happened. No, I don't have a witness. I haven't downloaded any apps to speak of in the last few weeks.

Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know WTH it is???

It could either be a) some kind of virus [there have been a few surfacing lately], b) a program running in the background doing it and simultaneously freezing or c) you're just nuts.

Unless you've been downloading apps from Russian text messages or Chinese websites then it almost unequivocally isn't a virus not to mention none of the known "viruses" which are more malware would do anything like that. My bet is for program in the background or lost your mind.

Sounds like you have" awesome sounds" ringtones app. It had this exact same thhing happen to me (only different sounds. I just unistalled it.

Yes, I probably have lost my mind. But that doesn't change the fact that my phone did this...

No awesome sounds app installed. Very strange...
