Droid just ERASED my contact!

I found a rogue contact in my contact list - just an email address with no other information. I hit "join" and connected it to the appropriate person.

Result? It DELETED BOTH OF THEM AND ALL THE INFORMATION IN THEM.

Not. Cool.

Can you better explain? You lost me at connected with the appropriate person and delete? You contacted the unknown contact?and poof it disappeared from? Your contacts?
