Droid incredible has various problems

I have a droid incredible that is nearly 2 years old and it will not Erase the sd card, gives error messages on start up and is deleting apps that are on the phone plus intermittently freezing up any help would be appreciated

I would try a factory reset. The issues that you have sound like more than just a battery pull fix. But it wouldn't hurt to try as well as clearing out your cache. You don't have a lot of ram so you need to keep the temp data to a minimum. If the battery pull and the factory reset doesn't help and you want to keep the phone, I'd say root it and install a new rom.
